tasting & tech notes

This drop is a silky Pinot, with red fruit brightness and purity. Excellent to drink now or to cellar over the next 10 years.

  • The vineyard is almost 25 years old and originally Merlot vines were planted. Pinot Noir vines were later grafted on in 2016 as this grape variety is better suited to the cooler climate of the Corinella region.

  • Sandy loam over clay, lightly acidic and of low salinity. Our vineyard is situated a kilometre away from the property's northerly perimeter of red clay cliffs that drop off into Westernport's shore line.

  • 2019 saw an average amount of rainfall and a temperature of 21°C during the ripening stages which produced a medium yield of quality grapes.
